At Mulukà, we are explorers of the present. Pioneers in transforming the relationship between travel, planet, and community.

We believe that exploring the world can be a regenerative act—a way to sow the future as we walk through the present.

Our origin

Acapulco, October 2023.

In less than 12 hours, Otis evolved from a tropical storm to a Category 5 hurricane, making landfall in one of the most popular and densely populated tourist zones on Mexico’s Pacific coast. The result: collapsed infrastructure, fractured ecosystems, broken communities, and a city still struggling to rebuild.

Beyond the visible damage, Otis exposed the “invisible” tensions between mass tourism, social inequality, and environmental vulnerability. And in the midst of chaos, an urgent question arose: how do we regenerate what tourism has touched?

Mulukà was born from rupture.

As a response to a model that no longer holds, it emerges as a platform for responsible, multi-ecosystem tourism—one that reimagines how we inhabit, explore, and care for the world around us.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

"Since I was little, the sea of Acapulco felt like my second home."

-Giovanna Sáez Ramos

My father took me to Acapulco from a young age, driven by the belief that wonder should be shared. At home, an entire wall holds the memories of his youth: snorkeling, mountaineering, whitewater rafting, surfing… and the lifelong favorite—swimming in Acapulco. He didn’t come from privilege, but always made sure travel was an act of union.

From my mother, I inherited a love for Mexican culture. Since childhood, she took us to Tianguistengo, a small village in Hidalgo with no signal, but full of community life. There, I learned to value ranch work, patron saint festivals, charrería, banda dances, and the richness of what can’t be measured in things, but in bonds.

Both worlds shaped me: wild exploration and cultural roots. And in that intersection, Mulukà was born.

Travel has always been my place of return: Whenever I feel lost, it brings me back to center. Mulukà was born from that wonder: from the desire to keep travel possible and sustainable—and to help us find our way back to what truly matters.

I studied biotechnology engineering out of a deep curiosity for life but found my calling in creating products and experiences that care—blending human wonder with science.

Mulukà through time

MISSION
A world where travel is not an escape, but a return home. Like astronauts who prepare before touching down, we imagine journeys that regenerate bonds between people, places, and memories.
Where every step honors the present and plants the future.

To transform the way we explore the world by becoming a bridge between travelers, communities, and territories. As conscious explorers, we design products, consulting, and immersive experiences that cultivate connection, care, and respect for what we inhabit.
Mulukà accompanies each journey as a living logbook, guided by purpose and deep listening.
